TGK and E-Bike Cycling

Tamago Kake Gohan, often abbreviated as TKG, is a popular breakfast dish in Japan. It consists of two ingredients, raw egg and cooked rice. (Soy sauce may be added by preference.) Due to its simplicity, the quality of each ingredient is crucial to making delicious TKG,

On this trip, we ride E-bikes to Farm Buffo, a local farm that raises organic, free-range chickens. We first pick fresh-laid eggs from nesting boxes for ourselves. Then with cooked rice and miso soup, we enjoy the experience of eating typical Japanese breakfast (although it’s for the lunch.)

The other ingredient of TKG, rice, is also made in Oasa. With abundant water and in a perfect climate for rice making, Oasa rice is known to be one of the best in western Japan. Farm Buffo eggs and Oasa rice are definitely the best combination for TGK.

The tour also includes visiting local a historical ruin from the Wartime Era and seeing old hinoki (Japanese cypress) tree.
